Diaper Derby Champion!

It's official....miles is a champion. He competed in the Sugar Grove Corn Boil Diaper Derby (crawl race) and took first prize. He even got a blue ribbon. Mommy was so proud!

July is over already?

Miles and his friend Jacob. If Miles wouldn't try to grab everyone's eyeballs, he might have more friends.

 

Miles still loves being outside. Sometimes we have our snacks or breakfast on the patio.

My friend Jennifer came to visit while James was in Vegas. Unfortunately, she brought her Houston heat and humidity with her.

Today, Miles found his tongue. He hasn't stopped playing with it and sticking it out ever since.
I showed him his reflection in the mirror and he thought he was pretty funny.
He is in to everything these days. He goes straight for the electrical cords or the dog-water. He loves to hang out by the back door and is starting to pull up and look out the windows. His new entertainment has been playing with cookie cutters and bowls on the tile floor. He likes to push them and then go after them. I am sure this can only enhance his athletic skills in the future. I bought him a cheap red ball from Walgreens that he rolls all around. trying to teach a 9 month old to dribble is quite a challenge. He is favoring his left hand????????

Miles is growing like crazy and has mastered crawling. 

He loves to chase the dogs around and play fetch with Boomer and daddy.

Airplane rides, swimming pools, beachfront property....Miles is living the dream.

Miles is a huge hit with my neighborhood bookclub. This is Miles and Kathy just hanging out.

Miles rides a pony at only 7 months of age at our Kentucky Derby Party. What a stallion!!! When everyone was cheering during the race, he cried.
